Digital products are products delivered to the user in a digital form. They can be downloaded and used online.

In the context of personal brands, they are used to build authority, educate an audience, create a community around the brand and—most importantly—earn money from your knowledge.

You may also hear the term educational products. I suspect we will hear many more variations in the future. The name “digital products” is still relatively new in Poland and hasn’t fully caught on yet. For people outside the marketing industry, it is often completely unclear. I frequently hear: “Digital products… meaning what exactly?”
Because of this, creators keep looking for clearer ways to describe them.

Currently, some of the most popular forms include online courses, ebooks and community platforms.

What digital products can you sell?

  • graphic templates for Canva

  • Excel planners

  • Notion organisation templates

  • WordPress templates

  • webinar recordings

  • travel guides

  • product mockups

  • checklists

  • social media templates (e.g. Instagram Stories)

  • AI prompts

  • online courses consisting of video lessons, workbooks and templates

  • community platforms (e.g. Discord, Circle, Skool)

  • videobooks (ebooks with embedded video)

…and many, many more.

What matters when choosing the format?

Always think about how your audience will actually use the product. Which format will help them learn the most?

It is very similar to designing a training programme, a learning path, a university course or a mentoring programme.

How to Sell Digital Products Such as Online Courses and Ebooks

There are three main approaches. Choose the one that fits the stage of your business, the price of the product, and the capacity of you and your team.

1. Sales Funnel for a product below €25

In my opinion, this is the best option at the beginning — for testing your concept and generating consistent income independent of major launch campaigns.

You create a simple digital product priced below €25 that solves a very specific problem. Traffic mainly comes from paid ads.
You then offer another product below €25 as a one-time offer (OTO), and add an upsell in the checkout and in post-purchase emails.

This strategy does not require having a social media community. You test the idea, collect feedback and earn your first money before investing a huge amount of time.

2. Selling a €25–€90 product to people who already know you

You reach your followers, email subscribers and people who have already interacted with you.

You use stories, private messages, newsletters, reels and carousel posts.

This approach is based on existing trust. People buy from those they know and like. You do not need large advertising budgets here — consistent communication is enough.

3. Sales webinar and a product above €90

A full webinar launch campaign. It requires the most work but builds real expertise in the eyes of your audience.
A webinar allows you to demonstrate your knowledge, address objections and convince people to buy a higher-priced product.

How to sell your first online course, ebook or other product

If you are just starting, choose the first option. Create a product priced below €25 or even a free lead magnet with the option to purchase something additional.

Use simple, easy-to-operate tools and paid traffic.

This will allow you to start quickly without being overwhelmed by technology and complicated funnels.
Start simple, see what works, and then scale.

Good luck!
